EDIT

Why is it that the more I revise and edit, the more overwhelmed I become with the writing process?  I described to the Read and Critique host my dilemma in this regard, “I either keep adding new insights and developing new ideas to push the story line forward, or I erase content that seems irrelevant now, or I stare at my work, overwhelmed thinking it is all a stupid mess that I should relocate to the trash bin. The latter thought has not prevailed into action, and I suppose is the reason why I am now in your Read and Critique group.” The host empathized with my gripe.

I will keep writing spontaneously, and when the creative mood departs, I will continue to develop my thoughts through editing. Despite being overwhelmed with the plethora of words that need to be edited, I am happy creating in this form.
